Unholy Alliances

SWP and bourgeois politicians

Throughout Europe unholy alliances are being set up which are being coordinated by the misnamed International Socialist grouping. In Britain the so-called Stop the War Coalition presents itself as the organisers of the biggest march in British history whilst at the same time having on its platforms open defenders of the capitalist system, albeit Keynesian and not so Keynesian representatives in the era of declining global imperialism. The likes of the leader of the Liberal Democrats, Jesse Jackson (Democtas USA) and Ken Livingstone parading on anti-war platforms is extremely nauseating when in fact they each in turn supported the bombardment of ex-Yugoslavia.

In Greece the Stop the War brigade allied itself with the ex-Eurostalinists of Sinaspismos who also had a despicable position on Yugoslavia. The fact that the globalists of the SWP have no other policy than to straightjacket the movement back into normal bourgeois politics shows they have absolutely no politics other than further globalism. In response to millions who want another world the SWP offers the existing one with bankrupt bourgeois politicians as 'crowd pleasers' when in reality faced with the oncoming conflict the aim is to silence the militant left, from spreading militancy.

Do you realise we're proving the Party of Evil right?

In less than a year, specific and (at first) carefully-stated criticisms of some political/religious Muslim groups as potentially reactionary, has boiled down to phrases like 'Islamofascists' and 'Muslim Nazis' (see above) and the assumption all Muslims are reactionary.

Which, sadly, is exactly what the SWP said would happen..

... and don't come back untill you've got something constructive to say. Have you ever built anything in your life, or do you just spend all your time in the pub criticising people who are trying to get something going. I may have criticisms of the SWP and their perspective, but I would rather listen to them than a bunch of anonymous no-hopers and their dog on a string.
