The annual Mayday protests should be on the nearest Saturady to Mayday so that more people can attend. Having the Mayday protests on Mayday itself on week day means that only a few thousand people turn up when we could get tens of thousands out for a really big effective Mayday action!

I agree, Mayday should be on May 1st...Let's hope it's not another punks parade down Oxford Street with a load of activist-led wannabes waiting to get interviewed and filmed for the tea-time news. How revolutionary! Last year was both
pointless and embarrassing...."ordinary" people on Oxford street just stood bemused and afraid of the dreadlocked vangaurds of anti-capitalism, no attempt was made to make links with ordinary shop workers, van drivers, shit-paid restraunt staff etc...Yes, granted, links were made and support given to workers in the sex industry in Soho, but then people just waited to be corralled like cattle for the annual Mayday section 60. The Anarchists are getting so fucking predictable...May..Mayday demo in central London..October..Anarchist Bookfair. Is that it?! Why don't we support the "traditional" Union demo this year..make real links with real people..real workers? Or is it just more exciting to go and smash up another MacDonalds?
