Valentines Day Lock On at Downing Street

We arrived in 2 black cabs at 10am on Valentines day. One group of people went straight up to the gates to deliver a valentines card to Tony Blair. As they were distracting the police on the gate 5 people locked on to a large pink heart blocking road access into Downing Street. On the heart was a message to Tony Blair reading 'War Breaks My Heart' and inside the heart were 5 metal lock on tubes.
The police seemed unable (or at least very unwilling to cut us out). They had various experts, including the fire brigade (who said it wasn't their job to cut us out) and group of construction workers from a building site over the road, come and inspect our lock on. Everyone that came to see it scratched their heads and said 'I don't know how you're going to get them out of that'. We stayed in the road for 3 and a half hours before the cold and bulging bladders got the better of us and we unlocked and left without arrest. The only arrest of the day was our lock on which was taken away by the police because they thought we might use it again (don't know what gave them that idea?).
