How Blair and New Labour will pay for this

Blair and New Labour steam blithely along, ignoring the fact that the majority of the country is opposed to an attack on Iraq which will leave hundreds of thousands dead and a country ruined and traumatised.
My own feeling is that once the Americans and the British have rebuilt the things they destroyed in Vietnam, Panama, Yugoslavia and Afghanistan then they can talk about another "humanitarian war". All are in ruins, with thousands of families grieving for their dead, infrastructure shattered. The budget for reconstruction in Afghanistan last year was a pitiful $10 million dollars; Yugoslavia, years after getting rid of Milosovic, has seen pennies. The Americans and the British are some sweet-talking bullies, who know better how to destroy than to build, create, or heal.
That crowd on Saturday was made up of people who, probably at the 95% level, voted for Labour in 1997. What Blair's party needs to recognize is that we will either vote for the Lib Dems or even in some cases the Tories, or in many cases simply not vote at all. Labour will pay a punishing price for both not listening to us, and insulting us in the bargain.

The have rich friends with nice villas in Italy, etc where they can spend their nice times...
...and they have conman friends like Peter Foster who can get a nice discount for flats.
Whatever the outcome of his reaction to the Anti-war Demo and whatever the "risks", Blair can be assured his part in palying the poodle would earn him millions in the lecture/dinner chat rounds in the US where his grateful massahs would handsomely reward him.
...and there would be a book or two which would be nice little earners, if not bibles monumentalising Blair's super-moral and messianic hallucinations.
The Blair Bullshit Corporation is doing a fly-on-the-wall doc on one of Cherie's advisers - that woman who is girlfriend of that Foster conman, this Thursday.

Draft card burning

We don't have draft draft cards but there are some people daft enough to be card carrying members of political parties. To send a powerful message to the government (and perhaps even the other parties) local people could arrange public burning/tearing up of their party membership cards. This would work fine for all parties but I guess focusing on just the labour party might be the easiest to get large(ish) numbers involved.

Burning Daft cards not a bad idea!!!

Why not organise for New Labour supporters to burn their membership cards - these are really daft cards - daft because they are still in support of an untenable position their messianic fuhrer Blair is sticking to.
Labour supporters should be thoroughly ashamed and join the greater humanity at getting rid of any connection to Blair.
Burning their daft cards would be a good start!!!
