Valentine's Day anti-war banner drop and lock-on to millenium bridge. Later the pixies relocated their larger than personal add to Eros, Piccadilly Circus. (article 3)
On Valentine's Day a group of 12 women went armed with a 70 foot long personal ad: Independent Iraqi Female, 24, GSOH Seeks Genuine Commitment To World Peace.
We felt it was hard to get excited about chocolates and roses when women in Iraq are about to face massive military incursion after 10 years of carpet bombing and economic sanctions.
The group went up to the millennium bridge and dropped the banner, when the plod came some people locked-on. All went well and we took the banner to Piccadilly Circus later that afternoon where it was left in the care some homeless folks who shared our anti-war sentiments. Nice one guys! It stayed up until at least 6pm!
