Autonomous Space in Hyde Park

Disobedience crew set up an autonomous zone - a place where anyone can have their say

Disobedience crew set up an autonomous zone - a place where anyone can have their say - as opposed to listening to the ego-wanker, power-crazed gobshite politicians speaking from the main stage.

The wheelbarrow soundsystem took centre stage with souljahs on the decks, D&B and ace & wonderful open-mic MC's havin' a rant, followed by techno from Serum. Wicked vibe with spontaneous politics/music fusion going on.

The space included a bonfire which the cops tried & failed to put out, on which trot placards were burned - except the ones people needed to use as weapons later. There was also an indymedia access point, food, firedancing & the samba band popped in.

All in all people had a great time, without being preached at by arsehole politicians.
