Teach-in on the World Bank!

Monday 17th February, 7.30 pm, Flora Anderson Hall, Somerville College.

Featuring Barry Coates, Director of the World Development Movement.

With the President of the World Bank speaking in Oxford on Wednesday 19th
February, the need has never been greater for an understanding of what
World Bank policies mean for the environment, human rights, and poverty
alleviation. Come and explore why so many people, in both the North and
the South, are protesting against the Bank.

PROTEST THE WORLD BANK!

The President of the World Bank has been invited, at 5.30 pm on Wednesday
19th February, to give the Amnesty (!) lecture in the Sheldonian Theatre.
A broad coalition of groups have decided to organise to let both the
organisers and the speaker know that people are aware of what the World
Bank is, and how its policies affect the world in which we live.

Bring anything with which you can make some noise, plenty of enthusiasm,
and everyone you know!
