Why do projects fail? At Redshoes they don’t!

A new refreshingly unique type of IT Consultancy.

Redshoes Consulting specialise in code red projects, and have an aggressive yet simple methodology.
They have a belief that most companies are fed up with the usual big consultancy groups, particularly the lets make money approach to your projects.

Redshoes Consulting philosophy is a simple ‘can do’ let’s make it happen attitude.

When assessing a project, the first question is “where do you want to be at the end of the project?”. Second question is “when do you need to be there?”

“Getting clients to formally acknowledge where the end of the project is becomes our driving force”, says Ian Parker, Professional Services Director, “Only then can the project be truly defined. It reduces scope creep, a major factor in most cost or time overruns, allowing for a very distinct freeze and action style project, which in turn allows Change Management, Risk Management and Budget to become tools rather than drivers”.

Planning should always be done backwards, from the end date to present. “The project end date is very often tied in to other projects or marketing campaigns so a client needs to know that that end date is sacrosanct, set in stone”, says Ian Parker, “which in turn allows them to run their business with confidence knowing that this project will be on time.”
Resources, costs and logistics are only added into the plan once all the tasks have been defined and retro fitted.

Ian Parker claims that methodologies such as SSADM and Prince whilst having their place in today’s market, are really just tools for the bigger consultancies to print money.
1 Consultant today, 5 by the weekend, 50 by the end of the Month, generating more paperwork than a rain forest can support, with no end in sight because the PID is still being defined and in 3 months you already have cost overrun and an ill defined end date.
A familiar scenario?
Redshoes Consulting believe that this is not a good return on Investment (ROI).

Redshoes Consulting make projects happen, rather than let them happen.

Everybody -- visit their site

Shall we teach this spammer what happens when they spam and indymedia site? Ordinarily spamming businesses can afford to disclose their internet presence without fear because those spammed have no way to coordinate with each other.

But an Indymedia site is different since we can affix comments and coordinate that way. This possibility is perhaps why we are not often troubled by spammers since they realize what could happen if all the people they have just invited to their site took them up on the invitation.

What time folks?
