STOP THE WAR NOW - START THE BOYCOTT

Around the world there is talk of boycotting products from the United States of America as soon as Bush launches his crusade against Iraq. This is strategy of failure, the moment that war begins we will have failed to prevent the needless loss of life, we will have failed in our assertion that there are better ways to deal with conflict and we will have failed to keep a small minded man and the men who surround him from carrying out their own agenda.

As an American I beg the world to launch a nonviolent pre-emptive strike against America. Take aim at the only thing that can bring Bush to his knees: the American economy. We need not go far to understand what tail wags the dog, look to Enron, WorldCom, Haliburton, these are the homes of his friends and administration. These however should not be our immediate targets. Our immediate targets should be 1 to 2 carefully chosen oil companies, 1 to 2 large corps which are both consumer dependent and heavily involved in the military industrial complex, and the biggest donor to Bush’s campaign. By immediately discontinuing any patronization of these companies we will have a concentrated effect and an immediate impact. Diverse ourselves of all stocks in these companies, write letters of protest and publicize the hell out of which companies are being hit making sure to educate on why they are targets. After two weeks we should be ready to announce a further six companies which will be added to the boycott list. If done well the quacking of these major corporations will be felt around the world.

Companies to Boycott Immediately:

49 SHELL OIL COMPANY - Two birds with one boycott. Stop buying Shell now not only do they represent the oil that this war is going to be fought over but they are the 49th largest defense contractor.

AOL-TIME WARNER - AOL and Time Warner collectively made up the second largest media donor to Bush in 2000. Imagine the power of hundreds of thousands of customers canceling their AOL internet service. Each cancellation is like a vote against the war. The impact would be seen immediately, add to that a boycott of all AOL-Time Warner products and Bush’s phone Will RING.

GTE CORPORATION - The 15th largest military defense contractor, all you have to do is switch your phone service, change DSL providers and burn your phone books in mass protest

GENERAL ELECTRIC - Is into everything from adhesives to lights to transportation if “At GE we Bring an End to Life” if it says GE put it down and go for an alternative product

Civilian Sanctions!

If UN prodded by US can inflict sanctions against Iraqi civilians, and kill over a million because of the Powel Doctrin of War: destroy civilian infrastructure, it is karma to detroy US companies and chain stores by not buying their crap. And why has no one pointed out that depleterd uranium is a wepon of mass destruction? Some one said irony is dead, but US and UK shooting that crap is like terrorists igniting a dirty bomb.
