Old Europe could block Iraq attack

KB | 08.02.2003 20:29

Stationing UN peacekeepers in Iraq could force Blair & Bush to choose: kill Europeans or pursue the inspections.

A plan to put peacekeepers in Iraq offers the possibility of "Old Europe" forcing Bush to bomb UN troops, as well as civilian shield volunteers, if he insists on implementing the "Shock and Awe" 48 hour, overwhelming devastation, bombs and missile campaign!

Would Blair go along with such a crazy idea?

In Berlin, a German government official said his country is working with France on ``specific peaceful alternatives to a military solution.'' The German magazine Der Spiegel reported that the French-German plan includes placing U.N. troops across Iraq, conducting reconnaissance flights over the country and tripling the number of U.N. weapons inspectors.

Completely fanciful.

The proposed German and French plan is that instead of an invasion by a foreign army there is instead a placing of a U.N. army in Iraq.
And Saddam Hussein will gleefully surrender to the authority of the U.N. peacekeepers, thereby avoiding any fighting, right?
George Bush may be a moron; but so are Chirac and Shroeder if they believe that's going to happen. Unbelievable.

diplomacy is a complex business

T is possibly quite correct, Morons seem to do very well at getting to the top. but diplomacy is a complex business.
The main aim at the moment has to be to stop bush and blair
from actually pressing > PLAY . They can only stay only stay on PAUSE for a certain time.
Anything that delays them is positive.

aaaaaaah

We have no business in Iraq

Wy don't we just leave the poor Iraqi people alone. When Saddam gets as bad a the puppet Shah the people will get rid of him. That is their business and not ours.

If we are concerned about anyone being a danger to the world we should look at Bush and Sharon. Two imbalance warmongers with a pile of nukes and with a delivery system.

war is terrorism

This illusion of conflict between the allies. It's all a charade to persuade the people that differences exist. A sham - they'll all be on board by the time it comes to it, because they're all placements behind the one agenda - the global prison camp
