provocative arrest of a speaker at the Munich anti NATO demonstrations because he called for German soldiers to desert

The Alliance against the NATO Security Conference decidedly protests the provocation
by the police force. Already this afternoon in the centre of Munich many people where
sent away by the police with weak justification such as notoriety, at least 12 were
arrested. A massive police force is on a search-and-control-frenzy, especially in order
to intimidate young people and prevent them from counter activities to the 39th
"Security Conference".

Also when travelling to Munich, people experience exaggerated reactions by the state
force, so the passengers of three coaches from Frankfurt, Trier and Rheinland-Pfalz
have already been filmed and searched one-by-one - say hi to the police state!
The pre-controls are extending to about 100 km around Munich, e.g. coming from
Memmingen already before Mindelheim.

The biggest provocation so far from the side of the state apparatus happened after the
demonstration on the Marienplatz. Thousands had previously vigorously applauded the
speech by Tobias Pflueger from the Information Centre Militarisation in Tuebingen.
The reason was his call to the soldiers of the German army that are stationed e.g. in
Kuwait to desert, at the same time this was the reason for the police to arrest him
after his talk. - We protest vehemently against Tobias´ arrest and demand his
immediate release! The Munich police directorate obviously does not know the
military legislation, which explicitly declares refusal in case of an offensive war not
only a right but a duty!
