On the Theresienwiese in Munich, which is publicly accessible as a coach parking lot,
all arriving buses are surounded by the USK (Bavarian riot squad), filmed, and all
passengers searched. It is recommended to get off beforehand and change to public
transport.

In the city centre, too, one has to expect to be searched or banned from the localities.
Reasons generally given for this measure are notoriety or suspicion of violence.

Don´t let this keep you away - we are becoming more and more here!!!

The police occupied confergence center

08.02.2003 02:29

The bavarian police (USK) entered the confergence center of demonstrants against war in Munic. Maybe, before there was some struggle with the civil agents (agents provocateur) of the police. (Remember when in Genua the civil agents put some bottles with petrol oil in the indymedia center to get an official reason to enter the center with very brutal vilolence.) Demonstrators and Journalists were arrested by the police - a terrible attempt to criminalize the protest against war.
