More nhs lies about nursing

I would suggest that the argument put by Sir Nigel Crisp Chief Executive in Today's Mail is deeply flawed if not wrong. The old too many chiefs not enough indians may be said to be more accurate. While the main fault lies with project 2000.A number of of reports from the 1960s onwards formed the basis of this erosion of nurses at the shop floor. Efforts to enrich or expanded the nurses role resulting in specialist nurses, academic and or research nurses. Practical proof lies in the nursing process,the primarynurse,clinical supervision,mentoring,nurse audit and the extended role of the nurse.What is it but Peters principle across a whole industry ie a rising level of incompetence.

The governments own research shows that the practical skills and service is lacking, But other most recent research tells us why.1.A air of fear and silence exists in which none of this psychobabble can be challenged. Indeed hospitals and health care is not only dangerous for the patient but does not leave nurse untouched and unharmed. Bullying needs to be taken out of nursing and health care.
This vein and damaging empire building should be to be stopped.Further project 2000 abandoned.The student nurse should be returned to the running and staffing of services.In the short term and perhaps in the long term the state enrolled or practical qualified nurse grade needs to be reintroduced.I would urge both discussion and action on this subject.
