Flood?!? these are people! PEOPLE they are not flooding anything. Who the hell are we to decide that people cant move to other areas of the world, we are all one world and asylm seekers have as much right to live her as the rest of us. More often than not they are driven here out of desperation and because of persecution. What image does a "civilised" country such as this show by turning our back on these people? There are no "bogus" asylm seekers just people trying to better their life styles, Evidently from one evil dictatorship to another. When they get here all we can give them is a petition. WE should be ashamed of our selfs for this madness of believing a petition is needed to show our disgust.
By the way dont try to lay down that shit about terrorism in the asylm system either. To tackle terrorism we must first look at home and the actions of our leaders we must first end our terrorist war.
When an institutionally racist organisation speaks out it is up to us to stop it!

Australia and England are both islands, catching boats to those islands makes a great deal more sense that drowning. Here in Australia in the last 2 years 9 innocent asylum seekers have died in detention, 360 refugees were drowned from October 2001 to December 2001, the Pacific Solution has cost taxpayers $2 billion to keep out less than 800 refugees.

We have the infamous concentration camps of Woomera and now Baxter, we have babies locked behind razor wire fences and electric fences for years at a time. In the desert it is 45 degrees during the day, 0 degrees at night, there are millions of flies, there is nothing but desert and dust.

It is life in a tin can - the huts are tin lined with wood, when it is 45 degrees outside it is 60 degrees inside, and that is the airconditioned ones.

Article 14 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights allows every person the right to seek and enjoy asylum - for the western imperialist nations like Australia and England to invade dozens of countries over the years, to rape and pillage those countries, to oppress and dispossess the indigenous peoples of those countries for centuries, and now think they have the right to keep out a few hundred asylum seekers is monstrous.

They are ordinary and decent people, they constitute a tiny fraction of the world's population, they could all be settled in the west tomorrow without anyone noticing.

Those who signed this petition are sounding like Nazis and should be ashamed.
