Meeting on Human Shield activity in Palestine and Iraq

How can we sabotage the war efforts of militarised states over-seas on their territory? How is the reality of white supremacy as a social pre-requisite for shield work dealt with? Does shield work reproduce colonial relationships or actually break them down?

As an estimated 300-1000 people prepare themselves to go to Iraq and Palestine - two of the world's most dangerous and complicated zones of Western-propped conflicts - this meeting aims to explore how to stay alive and unmanipulated.

Speakers include:

Caiohme Butterly - Irish activist with experience of solidarity work in Chiapas, Iraq and Palestine. Recently shot in Jenin.

Stefan Simanowitz - Co-ordinator with the Truth Justice Peace project organising Human Shields to Iraq (convoy currently weaving it's way through Europe)

Plus Voices in the Wildreness activists (tbc), Human Shields preparing to go to Iraq and Palestine Solidarity activists with experience of the Occupied Territories.

Organised by Palestinian Solidarity activists
