Fairford police violence

Pir8 | 29.01.2003 01:47

About two and a half minutes of clips from fairford (26th Jan) showing police violence.
MPG4 format version (15mb) Good quality.

The events shown happened after a couple of dozen people had been ejected from the base. Police re-enforcements were called from within the base and the mood changed as police used a snatch squad to grab somebody for some reason (I didn't capture this bit). People tried to dearrest the person and the police responded with assaults on anyone in their path. A police office had his helmet knock-off and a girl picked it up and throw it. The copper turned around as she did so and wrestled her to the the ground. She was handcuffed and arrested.

!!! Did you witness any of these arrests?
!!! See link  http://uk.indymedia.org/front.php3?article_id=51630

Also of interest is the fact that the police cut a hole in the fence in order to take those people they had arrested into the base.

Police cutting holes?

I think the police took people through holes in the fence which had already been cut and used by some people to get in.
