psichiatry test

In these days in many italian schools began to delivery test to children to individuate ADHD (attention deficit hiperactivity disorder). It woulb be a new mental disease decided from psichiatry and that should be treated with drugs as ritalin that is a anfetamine. In USA million of children are on this drug. There is somebody reading that could give me information about a similair situation happening in England?

I had never encountered it in the UK, never been aware of it being a problem.....

....however, now that I am living in Canada, things are vastly different!
I seem to be constantly meeting people who have been diagnosed with ADD ( Attention Deficit Disorder ) and have been placed on drugs to counter this.

Very interesting gap between the UK and N. America it seems....
