Singing in Parliament (square)

Hundreds gathered in the sunshine to protest at the proposed draconian changes to the way public performances are licensed. (article 1)

Impromptu performaces were matched by masked protestors carrying banners depicting silent musical scores...

This was followed by a very sucessful mass lobby, where many MP's did actually emerge to speak to the lobbyists. How helpful they wil be in amending this silly bit of legislation before it's passed, remains to be seen....

Even the plods that guarded the door think its daft!!!!!!

Some questions........

i've read through a lot of the material about this Bill on the net, but a few things remain a mystery to me:

1. is the entertainment license additional to the normal alcohol-selling license?

2. do performers need to have a license?

3. how much will licenses cost?
