Strike Against War Feb. 14: Let's Try!

Douglas MacDonald | 27.01.2003 13:20

People of the world, band together and strike on Feb 14th. Let our solidarity against Bush and imperialist business interests stand firm. This is only a first step in a world-wide citizens movement for peace and justice. Let us try!

People of the world, band together and strike on Feb 14th. Let our solidarity against Bush and imperialist business interests stand firm. This is only a first step in a world-wide citizens movement for peace and justice. Let us try!

It is time people of the world stand united for peace. Let us withold our labor on February 14. Let that day be spent educating our brothers and sisters on peace, justice and international solidarity. Call your friends, union leaders and contacts and tell them to stay home from work on February 14th: STRIKE FOR PEACE, just as Bush will surely strike for war. Spread this message far and wide. We still have time to organize and show our streangth. Please e-mail me and let me know of your actions.

what's up with STW?

Why is Stop the War Coalition not calling for mass civil disobedience on the 15th February?

Have they been infiltrated by MI5 or something more sinister... apathy/middle-class futurismo?

They have a HUGE prescence, this much is certain but they are not doing enough!

If we really want to shake the war machine/world by the ears on this day, then this is surely the time to do it...

A mass sit-down on Trafalgar Sq. - There is a certain safety in numbers, say 500,000 people refusing to move?

well...

Some resources might be ready soon for those who wish to carry out non-violent direct action before, during or after the march on the 15th...posting soon.

Mass Sitdown

ARROW and CND have called for a mass sitdown on the 15th, gathering from 5pm in Green Park, near Green Pk tube, and heading towards Eros, Piccadilly Circus (presumably sitting down somewhere en route). Details at  http://www.j-n-v.org/15febsit-down.htm

Just in response to 'yellow breath', (a) see a doc mate, breath shouldn't be yellow ;-) (b) seriously though, just because folk have different ideas to you doesn't make em MI5 infiltrators!

Many many many folk, a lot of whom have never marched or protested in their life, are coming on 15/2. Some will march only. Some are already planning NVDA (see above, respect to ARROW). Some will make their minds up on the day. All of which is fine and how it should be. Innit?
