If, as appears likely, the UK is involved in the use of force against Iraq the leaders of the UK Government will be investigated by the prosecutor of the international Criminal Court (ICC) if it breaches international humanitarian law (IHL). So promise a coalition of professors of law and leading NGOs from around the world. The UK,US and Canadian Governments have today been served with letters before action warning them of the consequences of an illegal use of force against Iraq. In the UK, Tony Blair was served at 10 Downing Street during filming for a Channel 4 TV programme on January 31.

Shifting the Goalposts...

The original condition imposed on Saddam Hussein was that he allowed weapons inspectors back into the country, or be bombed - so he did.

Then, he was told he must comply with the inspections, or be bombed - so he did, permitting unfettered access to facilities.

Then, it was announced he must declare his arsenal, or be bombed - so he did, in a 24,000 page dossier, of which 8,000 pages were censored, those naming the US companies who armed Iraq and profited from the murder of the Kurds.

Then Bush declared, “so-called” weapons inspections were no longer the issue, but Saddam himself, now, Saddam is not relevant either, “it’s not whose leading Iraq, but how it’s being led” says Rumsfeld.

This is an endorsement for the invasion and occupation of this country, by the US/Zionist/UK alliance, for control of Iraqi oil reserves, come what may...

It's worth pointing out that those of
us who are anti-war are not necessarily
pacifists. This war would be wholly
unjust and unlawful, but on occasion,
it is necessary to extinguish human lives
for the greater good.

It is my view that if Blair and his slime
do order our troops into a war without
UN approval, then following their convictions
for War Crimes by the International Criminal
Court, they should all be EXECUTED.
