Baku Ceyhan pipeline funders visited again

Following Thursday 23 January occupation of offices of European Bank for Reconstruction & Development, the bank was visited again today, Friday 24th

See J23 newswire article on occupation of EBRD bank in City of London.

This morning people who had occupied the offices on Thursday were outside the Bank at 8.30 am to leaflet workers of the 12 storey HQ of the Bank. Some familiar faces were not happy to see us on the scene again, after hours of being questioned and disrupted by us yesterday. The front entrance of the building was already locked, so all workers were helpfully entering the building through one set of doors, where they all had to show their ID cards - security making up a bit too late.

Most people in the building now have an idea about the Baku Ceyhan Pipeline that the ERBD is "minded" to fund, before any consultation has been carried out. Once everyone was safely inside at work we had a go at tricking them into thinking that some of us were already inside and then went off our separate ways.

We will be back!

Get informed about the pipeline, get involved, let's stop it!
