As of midday on Thursday January 23rd, the London offices of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) are being occupied by activists from Earth First! demanding that it refuse to fund BP’s Baku-Ceyhan pipelines system. They are negotiating with EBRD representatives, and are prepared to stay put at least until the end of the working day.
The EBRD office is in 1 Exchange Square, very close to Liverpool Street station.
The activists can be contacted on 07762 252932; email messages to londonrisingtide.org.uk will be forwarded to those concerned.
More info about the campaign against the pipelines system can be found at www.risingtide.org.uk and www.bakuceyhan.org.uk
