The Human Shield Action to Iraq is leaving from City Hall, London this Saturday. COME SEE US OFF TO PEACE!

Dear anti-war friends,

The Human Shield Action is leaving London for Iraq THIS SATURDAY!

Please send word to London! Come out for our sendoff!

At 2pm this Saturday (25 January, 2003) a white taxi and TWO RED DOUBLE-DECKER BUSES will leave London from City Hall, Queens Walk, (closest tube London Bridge) in a blaze of media coverage.

So many come out to wave flags as the boys go off to war. We want to see even more come send off the non-violent troops! Bring your peace flags!

Watch out for us. These buses will be followed by further convoys in the coming weeks. We’re building up to a huge convoy leaving on 15th February to coincide with what promises to be the largest demonstration London has ever seen.

On Tuesday 21st January, we are taking part in a big lobby of Parliament. Come along if you can: 5-7 pm. Ken O’Keefe will be speaking on the platform. On Wednesday, the 22nd we will have a press conference in Parliament (9am-10am, the Atlee Suite, Portcullis House by Westminster tube station). It will be chaired by Jeremy Corbyn MP and speakers will include Tam Dayell MP and maybe others.

two busloads

Two busloads vs 250,000 troops. Hmmm.

In relative terms, peace is surely more powerful than force. But still, you could use a few more. Brave souls.

Will be there, at any rate, to send the troops off to peace :)
