the nearest Nuclear bunker

honey vain | 17.01.2003 15:29

Do you know where your nearest Nuclear bunker/shelter is? With war looking increasingly likely, with many war mad trigger happy dictators like bush, blair and soddem itching to test out their latest nuclear/biological weapons, who dies and who lives in this world will be determined by who has access to an ungerground nuclear bunker.

Who will live?, Bush, Blair, even soddem will not be touched by the debris of war. All have access to ungerground nuclear bunkers the size of whole cities, all self suficiently able to sustain life, well the lives of the establishment, the rich, and the leaders of most governments. There is a nuclear bunker strategically situated on the Malone rd, where the rich and powerful live. Is there one in the shankill, ardoyne, new lodge etc, I think not. The rich as always are one step ahead of us, so the answer to this question who will live and who will die, is as always the rich will live and we the poor will die. That is a necessary evil and ok, to most governments, what better way to get rid the world and their countries of the menace and plague of the working class and undesirable global poor.

all the Cold War nuclear bunkers [aka Regional Centres of Governmment) have now been decommissioned. There is a war room under Whitehall, but that's all.

Who would want to nuke the ardoyne or shankill road? [answers on a postcard pleas]

bonkers

Well you'd have to be to want to spend the rest of your days stuck underground with that lot. I don't know if there are bunkers or not, but I have heard it said that detailed civil defence plans in the event of nuclear war became discredited some years ago, when it became clear that many civil servants would rather have their life end at that point than continue on, without friends and families cooped up for an eternity with the rest of the state burueacrats, aristocrats and other such vermin.

one is currently advertised as offering space

17.01.2003 19:01

One featured in last year´s Guardian Society supplement.
The proud owner is leasing space.
(no listed squatters will be allowed apply)
The term these days is
chem war shelter.
just when the panic sets in.
Debunking bunkers is of course big business.
Many fine careers in both academia and techno music have been started by careful research into the use of a bunker.
I favour heading for the hills myself.
since i´m anti-car I will have to possibly but with due licence aproportioned by common law become less than civil and perhaps violent to borrow and naturally direct the journey of my "only for emergency purposes car" to the mountains.
The mountains for me are quite close but filled with okupe catalan types who mightn´t have room when the bomb drops.
we are pretty sure the civil servants won´t turn up but if they do it will be some extra food for when "the civil breakdoown turns vegan farm into mutant anarko hungries" roaming the city streets.

I sincerely hope this doesn´t happen.
in there or in here.
and i think people agree with me.
could my pals in there do something with Blair please.
i know we tried before, but its been a while.
ps
thank you all very much for the water purification tablets and the desert island record collection.
it will get me through the fall out.
o as if.
