PRINCE CHARLES VISITS RUC ENNISKILLEN
As his second engagement of the day, His Royal Highness Prince Charles visited RUC Enniskillen.
On arrival, the Prince was met by Mr Gerry O'Callaghan, Divisional Commander, who presented Mr Maurice Murphy, Deputy Divisional Commander, and Mr Jonathan McIvor, Sub-Divisional Commander.
Moving to the main building, the Prince was briefed on the role of the station and its links with the community before walking to the entrance of the Old Museum Building where the Royal Visitor met RUC officers about to go out on operational duty.
Accompanied by Mr McIvor, His Royal Highness then attended an informal buffet lunch where he had the opportunity to speak to a number of widows, decorated and wounded officers as well as those currently involved in community and cross-border co-operation.
At the conclusion of the visit, Mr McQuillan presented the Prince with a piece of the locally produced Belleek pottery before the Royal Visitor took his leave to attend his next engagement.
