Support TJP Human Shields to Iraq

Hundreds of volunteers are heading to Iraq as human shields, in an effort to deter armed aggression by the US and UK governments. Volunteers are needed in LONDEN and elsewhere.

This direct action, which could become a mass migration to Iraq, has been organised by Ken Nichols O’Keefe, founder of the Universal Kinship Society (www.uksociety.org). It is hoped we will deter our governments from engaging in this crime against humanity. Will George use nuclear weapons if thousands of US citizens are on the ground in Iraq? Will Tony protect us by bombing us? Obviously, we hope not.

A number of buses will carry volunteers across Europe and the Middle East to Iraq. Along the way we will gather medicines and clothing to deliver to the people of Iraq. We wish to show solidarity with the Iraqi people in opposition to our governments’ determined pursuit of this dangerous and indefensible aggression. Some of us will aid in disaster relief and in documenting atrocities.

Donate Equipment
We urgently need office equipment; a fax machine, scanner, computers, adsl modem/routers, photocopier. If you've got anything that might be useful please email us immediately at  TJPdonations@hotmail.com.

Volunteer
We need committed volunteers, ESPECIALLY IN THE LONDON AREA ... office staff, mechanics to look at buses, a professionally skilled webmaster, fundraisers (people who can ring around, chase up money), people with language skills, billets in London to accommodate other volunteers, contacts with celebrities for endorsements, techies to help with internet/intranet, etc. Please send an email to  TJPvolunteers@hotmail.com spelling out exactly how you can help.

Spread the Word
You can support the action by contacting friends in London or en-route (see  http://www.uksociety.org/tjp_route.htm) : we need committed people to organise reception rallies, the collection of medical supplies and clothing to be delivered to the Iraqi people, and more human shield volunteers. Tell local anti-war groups; encourage donations; contact the media or your government ‘representatives’.
