Warning to all american citizens!

The Bushist Chronicle | 11.01.2003 12:38

Dear people put on warm clothes because the wartimes will be a long time.

Warning to all american citizens!
Warning to all american citizens!

Dear fellow citizens we embrace the final judgement of the appeal court in Richmond that we can jail any hostile american citizen who are fighting for countries which we even raid and that these criminals have no rights anymore.
We don't have delivered an official declaration of war but we really don't give a fuck about. The most important is that we are now able to jail dirty pacifists without legal procedure for disruptiveness of war morality. Dear people put on warm clothes because the wartimes will be a long time.

Your dear attorney general Ashimmler

The situation isn't QUITE like described here. The decision by the Richmond court was actually pretty interesting because the judges included a "warning" that they did NOT intend this ruling to be applied under the different circumstances of IN the US. There is another case currently going on which deals with that and we expect the ruling to be different.

THE REAL TEST IS YET TO COME! It is not at all unusual in the US for the exectutive branch and/or the legislative branch of government to propose (or even begin doing) something not according to our Constitution. The "test" doesn't come till the courts have ruled.

Don't say we've lost our rights until one of the following has happened. Either the courts fail to rule to protect those rights OR they rule to protect them but then cannot get their decision enforced (THEY don't control the enforcement power).

The ruling in the "dual citizen apprehended OUTSIDE the country by the military" case was not unexpected. It is NOT "obvious" that the US Constitution should apply outside the US. Before declaring American rights "dead", let's wait and see how the courts decide in the other case.
