Threat of war over as Saddam co-operates!

Harlequin | 23.12.2002 13:33

The threat of war in the Gulf has finally receded after Saddam Hussein agreed to fully co-operate with the UN in giving full details to all of Iraq's weapons programmes.

Iraq even agreed to allow Iraqi scientists to go to the UN headquarters to give evidence on the Iraq weapons programmes and allow the CIA to pin point hidden weapons site to UN inspectors. This finally ends months of standoff and war threats against Iraq.

But there is no excuse now left for war!

Now that Saddam has agreed to co-operate fully with the UN over its weapons there is now no reason left for war. Bush had stated that unless Iraq comes clean on all its weapons programmes and agrees to allow Iraqi scientists to go to America to give evidence on the Iraq weapons of mass destruction programme it would go to war by January the 27th. Iraq has since agreed to those demands so now as long as Iraq sticks to this there will be no reason at all left for war!

Bush will find it very hard to get both domestic and foreign support now for a war if Iraq keeps up its full co-operation!

Note how the US took Iraq's weapons declaration because they had "the best photocopiers", then preceded to only release 5,000 of the 25,000 page document.

This gives them the perfect opportunity to claim Iraq has ommitted something and use it as a justification for war.

Why do you think they are moving yet more troops to the Gulf?

Yeah, but....

Just to keep undue optimism in check - Could it be that Bush only plays for his dumbed out American majority? Check the U.S. local news and see how little truth the people are told. Or check how little Middle Americans care about any forunners.

The real motivation for the planned U.S. attack on Iraq is OIL. The massive military build up in the gulf is a clear indication that Bush will attack Iraq, despite the reservations of some of his "friends", excluding Blair who is Dubya's right hand man. I find it difficult to believe that any intelligent person accepts that a devasted third world is capable of producing weapons of mass destruction.
