U.S. is a Rogue State
International Informant | 17.12.2002 17:04
On December 13, it was announced that the U.S. federal government is not going to prosecute four cops that gunned down a 19 year old lady sitting alone in her aunt's car with 12 bullets all from the back(34shots fired).
The U.S. has proven, once again, that IT in fact, is the world's biggest ROGUE STATE! Right after Senator Trent Lott made his infamouse racial remarks, the U.S. federal government has announced it will not procecute the four terrorist cops that murdered Tyisha Miller on December 28, 1998. Once again, the U.S. has shown its true colors, its committment to its self-proclaimed "manifest destiny" of white Anglo-Saxon supremacy.(see http://rwor.org/a/v21/1005-009/1007/tyisha.htm for details). It's been four years and has gone through the entire U.S. government hierarchy- and NO JUSTICE for Tyisha!-it's time for International Action!
This is what activists world-wide can do:
contact the United Nations Human Rights Commission at http://www.unhchr.ch/html/hchr/contact.htm-and demand a complete investigation of U.S. human rights abuses(see link below for more details on the THOUSANDS routinely murdered by cops in the U.S.)!
Contact Amnesty International's International Secretariat at: amnestyis@amnesty.org urge them to pressure the U.N. to take action against U.S. intransigence.
On the subject of weapons of mass destruction, after the U.N. finishes its inspection of Iraq, we should urge them to inspect the following countries:
North Korea
Pakistan
India
China
Russia
Israel
France
U.K.
Germany
and any other nations suspected of manufacturing/harbouring weapons of mass destruction, especially -
the U.S.-with more weapons of mass destruction than all the rest of the world combined! ALL governments that possess weapons of mass destruction are ROGUE GOVERNMENTS! They must ALL disarm!

I agree completely, and I'm an American

I'm doing what I can to get the word out about protests. I talk to people all the time about the situation, but am feeling more and more helpless about the coming doom.
I get more and more angry every day.
I want to yell at the top of my lungs "HELP! THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ARE BEING HELD HOSTAGE BY THEIR OWN GOVERNMENT!!"
All of you over there in the UK must know this:
A very small percentage of Americans actually want this war and agression. The media wants the rest the world think that Americans are all gung-ho for it, but it is just the opposite. Any suggestions on how to get the word out to other countries would be greatly appreciated.

Don't be deceived by that

Likewise, while I don't think all that many people are gung-ho in favor of a war with Iraq, those actively opposed are a tiny minority. Even here in one of the most radical parts of the country that's true. Sure, all our friends are opposed maybe, but that's not exactly a random sample.
OK, I feel pretty strong that no country should go to war UNLESS almost everybody is firmly in favor. War is that serious. But to send out word as if there is some strong opposition to it is a disservice.

They all feel the same as the poster above: they're hostage to the illigitimate Bush junta. Some are thinking of fleeing the US.
My ad-hoc poll is not scientific but don't just take it from me, check this out: http://www.commondreams.org/headlines02/1217-03.htm
