Giveasuget plans to change consumerism for the better

GiveAsUGet | 13.12.2002 15:13

GiveAsUGet is a website with a whole new way of fundraising for charity attempting to improve our relentless consumerism somewhat by taking commissions from shops and giving them to charity

Right, I'm well awre this is a blatant plug I wrote a far nicer more flowing post apologising and stuff but indymedia lost it, just like the corporate press have lot my press releases ;)
I know you don't want advertising here but it's a little different since it's for charity and not my personal gain, hope this explains it well enuff cos i can't be arsed to type what i typed before out again :) thers a lot of explaining on the site too :)

GiveAsUGet is a site i made to try and make consumerism a little better for everyone. With a whole host of shops online from Oddbins to
Woolworths to Domino's Pizza you can do your online shopping as normal from GiveAsUGet
but WITHOUT SPENDING AN EXTRA PENNY you can give to charity at the same time!
GiveAsUGet automatically collects the commissions from the links on the site, be it £15 for a new contract mobile
or 10% of what you paid for your clothes, then at the end of the month collects up these commissions and
sends them off to the charities of your choice
We also have news as an alternative to the corporate press with a focus on telling people what they can do and how
they can get involved to help those in the third world, improve the environment etc, instead of just ending
up feeling guilty and depressed when reading about these issues.

Hope u all like it, don't slap me for advertising i do share a nice big pile of files
and why not do yer christmas shopping thru giveasuget so u raise nuff wedge while giving out yer prezzies
