Hugo chavez president of venezuela may call state of emergency to face down right wing strikers determined to overthrow government

It is reported that president Hugo chavez is considering
declaring a national state of emergency to face down a right wing political strike by the counterrevolutionary
opposition led by businessman, corrupt trade unions leaders, and ex army officers, already oil output has been severely curtailed by 90% of total output and that petrol stations have begun to run dry throughout venezuela, oil tanker ships have refused to move their cargo as captains strike and the situation throughout venezuela is potentially explosive with demonstrations of pro and anti chavez supporters occuring frequently. We have of course been here before, in april of this year similar tactics were used to overthrow chavez but he was restored to power by the mass of the poor working class and peasants as well as supporters in the military, this time round the stakes are higher whatever the faults of chavez he is the legitamate democratically elected president of venezuela and this attempt to unseat him by reactionary right wing forces backed by the good ole USA must not succeed for the workers and peasents sake
