I've been told that the video won't play properly if you download it. You can get it to play if you copy the link address and then open that url from Quicktime 6. I'm doing a windowsmedia version now, and will upload it within the next hour or so.
I've downloaded 3 Megabytes which is much more than 512k, and cut the file there, because I have a slow connection, from the first link - these 3Mb play for about 40 seconds.
question 1 - is the whole file 512 Megabytes?
question 2 - how long does it play (at normal speed)? 3 minutes or 3 hours? Neither?
The 512k refers to the data rate, rather than the final size. Sorry, I should have been clearer. I have tried compressing video to make it download on a modem connection, but the results have always been pretty much unwatchable. It's 3 minutes long. The file is 12 Mb, which is big, but if you have a broadband connection it should play straight through.
Sorry, 512k was the connection speed, not the filesize. It's 3 minutes long, which makes the size 12Mb. It should play straight through for broadband users.
