Last Wednesday over a 100 people demonstrated in front of the Italian Embassy in Berlin to demand the immediate release of the imprisoned 'No Global' activists.
On Wednesday 27th December 2002 slightly more than 100 people marched through the streets of Berlin to the Italian Embassy under the banner (in German and Italian) 'We are All Subversives'. They demanded:
-The removal of prisoners from isolation.
-The immediate release of all the accused 'No Global' prisoners.
-That no more arrests are carried out in relation to the mobilisation against the meeting of the G8 in Genoa and the Global Forum in Naples.
-That the harrassment of the anti-capitalist movement in Italy stops, immediately.
The demo was lively and noisy with a sound system playing excellent music. A statement of solidarity was sent to the prisoners in Italy and a letter stating the demonstrators demands was handed into the Embassy.
The previous Saturday a smaller 'sit-in' took place in front of the same Emabssy, with simialr demands.
Organise demos, actions, everthing that you can think of to demand the immediate release of our commrades and to show that we will never forget our prisoners!
Solidarity is a Weapon!
