I happened to get in early from work yesterday, and was watching (ranting at??!!) some news on the BBC.
One article interested me greatly, as it highlighted for me directly, one of the more subversive methods of thought control attempted by our countries regime like government.

It was an article about the army, or namely the way that army families are suffering, through not getting to spend enough time as a whole unit.
According to the beeb, these soldiers who were returning home from tours of duty in bosnia, would now not be able to spend time with their families, as a result of the fire strike, and the necessity of army personnel doing the jobs of striking firemen.
The story showed young army childrens sad faces and they understood their fathers may not be home for Christmas.
Had I not been aware of what is going on, I may have felt some sympathy for the "poor soldiers" having to undertake another job of national security.
I could completely understand a news agency such as ITN doing what the beeb did last night, or cnn cbn, corporate faux news, and all the other vendors, but when we pay all that money to the bbc, its up to them to represent our sentiments, not us theirs.
So I propose a boycott. For those of us with internet availability, the issues are highlighted here, and you can draw your own opinions.
Unfortuntely for those without….. if your not careful, you may have to think what your told.

The next part of my rant, I was recently taken to the BBC website, as a result of a link posted on the Indymedia site.
It went a page containing a large photo of a B52. I learned that it was quite an impressive aircraft.
I may even have been impressed, had I not been disgusted by the BBC holding aloft as impressive, a distributor of death, or, to be less sensationalist, at least a distributor of WMD (weapons of mass destruction). It is become my belief that the BBC are trying to drum up support for this war, in incredibly subtle ways maybe, but the sentiment is none the less the same.
Last night holding aloft our hired asassins as heroes, under a heavier burden than usual (not one might think because of our hateful racist and aggressive, pro-violence government) as a result of greedy self indulgent firefighters is nothing short of disgraceful (especially seen as there are greater threats to national security these days because of our army, and our firefighters will be expected to maintain the height of professionalism in the thick of an attack).
Funny how just over one year ago, our fire-fighters were heroes, worthy of the highest respect.
Aren't people forgetful?!
I think if these army guys want to give up their liberty to fight imperial wars for "the man", then fuck them and their families (sorry but that’s how I see it).
I don't see what business it is of the beebs to draw support for our soldiers, while taking it away from other public sector workers?
I wonder who called for that piece to go out at 6pm?
Falls in line with the war on terror and patriotism when looked at in the normal way, and fuck that as far as I'm concerned.
It makes me sick to my stomach to see this world turning all 1984 under neo or new (blue) labour.
I wonder what Cherie really thinks of her Mass Murderer husband?
Support the firemen, fuck the war.
