Firefighters get militant

22.11.2002 12:26

Today Murdoch's 'Spun' quotes Blair as saying he will 'smash the FBU'.

The feeling on the picket line is that it is time to break the Blair dictatorship.

Firefighters are to attend demonstrations outside the CBI conference in Manchester, probably on Monday when it looks like Brown will be there but some could well turn up on Sunday. At a recent short notice rally in Piccadilly Gardens they got 1000 people there (there are only about 2,500 firefighters in the Greater Manchester area). Manchester does indeed look set to experience another earthquake.
