if you want your video file to be streamed use winmedia that is the only option at the moment which truly does the job.

ideally we all should use ogg vorbis (get oggDS at  http://tobias.everwicked.com/oggds.htm ) to encode get the video filter
ffdshow ( http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/ffdshow/ffdshow-20021029.exe?download ). The OGM file can then be viewed in any media player, such as Microsoft Media Player or Zoomplayer.

well that's the cool option.

downloadable uploads in .mpg or .mov will always work - but then you force people to download the whole thing which not many will do.
