Urgent: London embassy protest against ESF arrests

forwarded from Globalise Resistance:

After the glory of Florence, the nasty backlash from Berlusconi. Today in Italy 20 people who were associated with the European Social Forum were arrested under spurious 'terrorism' charges. Amongst those 20 is Francesco Caruso, leader of the Southern Disobedients. This is a significant provocation from the Italian government who are trying to lash out after their heavy defeat in Florence.

If Caruso is guilty of such crimes, then we all are. The threat to the state in Italy is posed across the planet in every country. It is the rejection of neo-liberalism and the campaign for a better society. We are dangerous, more dangerous than street fighting, we are winning people's hearts and minds to opposing the status quo.

In solidarity with our arrested allies, Rifondazione Comunista with Globalise Resistance have called a emergency picket of the Italian embassy tonight - at 5pm

There are currently protests happening in Milano and outside the maximum security prison where Caruso is being held.
