Vietnam Gay people in 'educational schools'

Vietnam is routinely rounding up gays and sending them for 'reprogramming' at psychiatric centers. Officially called 'education centers' the facilities are used for people deemed a threat to the government and were used to indoctrinate thousands of South Vietnamese after the Vietnam war. according to 365Gay News

The Criminal Police of the Go Vap District Public Security Division in HCM City last Sunday night entered
the Body Care Centre on Tran Quoc Tuan in Go Vap District and found dozens of pairs of men engaging
in sexual activities and others taking baths together. Police have arrested 30 men, including the centre’s manager.
Many of the arrested men admitted that they have frequented the centre for sexual activities with same-sex partners.'

And to Victor; seriously, don't let the homophobic minority drive us to isolate ourselves. Yes, Stalinist regimes (like all repressive regimes) tend to be deeply homophobic. But the real 'left', the anti-capitalist, anti-war movement is made up of ordinary people and workers, most of whom are against homophobia just as against racism. Linking up with others who are on our side makes us stronger.
