This project had been created by activists involved in the network Peoples Global Action, Indymedia, and other alternative media groups, both as a space for workshops and as a media lab. From here "Hub TV" was broadcasting live for several days, and workshops involved people from Argentina and from Palestine through live audio streams.
On Friday night, several thousand people moved from the main ESF space to the Hub to celebrate a massive spontaneous party.
