Creation of a forum for Direct Action - revival Of DAAWN!

With the failure of the SWTC to actually do anything anywhere near related to direct action, a number of people have suggested alternatives. While setting up a new "network" or "group" might not actually lead to more direct action against the war, a way of co-ordinating between groups who carry out direct action might increase the amount of DA happening and its effectiveness.

This would be the direct action equivalent of STWC. The best thing to use for this would be DAAWN. It already has widespread publicity and people on the egroup. What we need to do now is get groups around the country co-ordinating through DAAWN about action.

What is be suggested is that DAAWN becomes a forum for planning and discussing actions. Not an actual group which carries out actions.

The STWC has obviously failed us, lets create our own alternative instead of moaning about it.

How DAAWN might function:

1. As an egroup to co-ordinate through.
2. As a website which lists actual direct actions.
3. As a way of promoting and encouraging direct action.

If these are successful it would surely grow into other functions...
