Police repression in Whitehall

As demonstraters headed down Whitehall at yesterday's protest unnecessarily aggressive Policeing in whitehall led to scuffles between cops and demonstraters. This was after a lot of blatent harrassment during the day especially in Parliment square. A number of people complained that they were kicked and punched by Policemen simply for being too close to them. This was unavoidable as the crowd of several thousand people was hemmed into a very small area.
