Boycotting ALL corporations would mean to radically change our lives. That's exactly what is needed to change the world. Boycotting ALL corporations would mean to stop the money income of the capitalist system's doers, thus destroying the system.
Any economist will agree that the fastest way of bringing the whole system down is by simply EVERYONE withdrawing their money from the banks and stopping giving it to corporations. Only problem is, it would take the whole planet population to do it.
If everyone boycotted all the corporations at once it would cause a global economic collapse to servre that it would lead to mass starvation and most of the popualation of he planet would die! What is needed to to take over all the worlds corporations and place them under democratic workers control not merely destroy them! It is how corporations operate within the capitalist system which is the problem not the corporations themselves. Therefore we need to change the capitalist system to a socialist system by placing all the means of production and distribution under democratic workers control.
To boycot all the economic corporation doesn't mean starvation, Harlequin, but the other way around. Starvation is a process derived from capitalistic concentration of capital in one hand and the cost for the people of purchasing. Starvation is in there to see it now. We do not need to concentrate corporations in the hand of a socialistic society, we need to destroy the corporations and to take back what belong to the society and divide the wealth to the world popolation and in particular the means of productions.
Corporations are a fairly new phenomena. We survived without them before and we can do so again. They do not feed the world, they are parasitic. Their products and services are a mere minor byproduct of their main business which is concentrating power and money in the hand of the elite.
Boycotting all corporations would be hard but not impossible. However, a good start would be boycotting of all american corporations (that's most of them anyway) and american culture to boot. This would send a clear message. FUCKOFF, we've had enough! We will no longer tolerate the mass murder and exploitation that are inherent in the American dream. Americas entire economy is built on theft of resources and the oppression of the majority world.
Come on now, folks - we all know how (nearly) easy it is - buy as much of everything as you can from small local buisnesses and all that blah blah blah...DO IT. end of story(of course, i AM typing this on an apple mac via NTL , but even these things aren't insurmountable..)
my computer is a Toshiba DynaBook with Intel - dum dum dum dum dum - i am wearing Gap jeans, Levi jumper, my socks are from Marks and Spencer, my underwear from Peacocks, and my mobile is a Nokia. I bank with HSBC, but my morgage is with Nationwide, I have a Mastercard (though it is a Union one), and my TV is a Sony. My shoes are Adidas, my coat is Uniqlo. my hat is Paul Smith!
You could do with liberating your language. 'Jack Ass' is a rather american term I suspect. You aren't an american are you 'nadine'? Feeling a little defensive with all this 'anti-americanism' going around? Well don't let it bother you to much. It's no really ignorant americans that people have the problem with. You can't help being ignorant - it's a product of your education system and media. It is the US government and military/economic model that people opose - not the american public who we merely pitty.
Boycotting U$ corporations (or all corporations) does not require anyone to "live in a tub". It is still possible to source locally grown food from small farmers, it is still possible to grow your own. It is still possible to build your own house from local resources and it is still possible to live without a car. It is perfectly possible to deal with co-operatives rather than corporations and have a great life. We don't need all the shit produced by the corporations.
Corporate rule is unsustainable and will destroy itself. Saddly, it will probably take most of us with it so we'd better hasten it's demise ASAP
