Health and safety at risk

The Blair government has launched a vicious press attack on the fire fighters.

THE FIRST STRIKE DAY is on Tuesday 29 October 9am.

However, there is a very good response inside core sections of the working class.

WE MUST deliver solidarity.

Every trade union activist should be fighting to get other workers out over the issue of health and safety. Big unions such as RMT, ASLEF, NATFHE, UNISON, PCS and Derek Simpson's AMICUS have sent out circulars to every union branch.

We must have trade union banners out on the fire stations to greet them as they walk out.

This is immensely important the first hour’s and days can be crucial in shaping the strike direction.
