that No Sweat and the GMB have identified in Tower Hamlets.
The plan is to picket either Star Tailor on New Road or Ambidex on Mile End Road. The reason we have a choice is because the GMB
is in communication with Arcadia, the company that owns retailers Top Shop and sources goods for its Top Shop stores from Star
Tailor. Other recent communication between the union and Arcadia has resulted in a significant improvement in conditions at another
Tower Hamlets sweatshop.
If positive news re Star Tailor reaches the union before Friday then the picket will focus on Ambidex, whose manager has already said
to me on a previous picket, "They join the union, they get the sack." Nice bloke!
