Greenpeace occupy Sizewell B nuclear power station

150 Greenpeace volunteers have occupied rooftops at Sizewell B and plan to stay until the government ends its nuclear power programme.
Around 150 Greenpeace volunteers have entered the Sizewell B nuclear power station in Suffolk, England, saying that they plan to stay until the government agrees to end its nuclear power programme. The activists have positioned themselves on rooftops around the site but have not entered any buildings and do not plan to interfere with the operation of the plant. The occupation is part of Greenpeace's ongoing campaign to persuade the British government to abandon its nuclear programme and replace it with safe, economical, renewable energy sources such as offshore wind farms. Greenpeace say that that forty wind farms off the coast of East Anglia could produce as much electricity as all the nuclear power stations in Britain, while the government continues to use substantial sums of taxpayers' money to support the near-bankrupt nuclear power industry. Greenpeace are currently taking legal action to block the government's £650 million aid package to British Energy, the private nuclear generating company that runs Sizewell B, claiming it breaks European Union rules. Greenpeace ignores rads right under our noses

By rightly and legitimately linking this Cig Cartel with rads and dioxins, not only are the radiation industries and chlorine industries put on the defensive, the government "regulators" who allowed this mass endangerment and mass poisoning would also be put on the spot, as they should. The sooner the better.
* Dioxins (known human carcinogens AND among the 12 worst Persistent Organic Pollutants) come to unwitting smokers via chlorine bleached cig paper, chlorinated pesticide residues, chlorine contaminated agricultural ingredients and even the industrial cellulose used to make Fake Tobacco, as per many U.S. Patents.
* Radiation (low-level but no less deadly) comes to unwitting smokers via Still Legal use of uranium contaminated phosphate tobacco fertilizers...plus some natural radiation from soils. The thing is...the presence of dioxin SPEEDS UP the cell damage, the cancer, from rads and other natural and industrial carcinogens. This is called The Promoter Effect.
No less than former U.S. Surgeon General C. Everett Koop once warned that these rads cause MOST "smoking related" upper-respiratory cancers. Not "RADIATION-related"? Studies, some reported widely in the Reader's Digest (3/86), put the level up to 95% of such cancers. Funny but...these radioactive tobacco fertilizers are STILL LEGAL.
The issue disappeared. Why? One can only guess that the extensive Radiation Industry didn't like this news. Perhaps it seemed like a good idea at the time to blame rads for the harms of smoking in order to distract from the INEVITABLE and inescapable harms of smoking chlorine by-product, dioxin, to protect the oil, pesticide, paper, etc industries. Well, the rads story faded quickly...to be replaced by the current campaign...to ONLY blame the natural plant, tobacco, for the harms of "smoking". Smoking WHAT? is the question.
So...one might ask why Greenpeace (et al) isn't in Geneva at the Framework Convention on Tobacco [sic] Control (FCTC)to DEMAND that dioxins and radiation in typical cigarette smoke be FRONT AND CENTER of this issue.
The World Health Org. is there...knowing full well the harms of dioxin (procuced by burning man-made chlorine elements) but, oddly, WHO refuses so far to bring their knowledge, sitting right there on their desk, into the "smoking" arena. WHO, and Greenpeace, by ignoring this,
give Great Benefits to the very radiation and chlorine industries that cause so much health and environmental damage throughout the world. They even greatly benefit the Cigarette Manufacturers that they SAY they condemn.
It seems that they are doing JUST what these corporate entities want...namely, moving towards a prohibition of tobacco and smoking so as to put this potentially huge liability situation behind.
How many billions, or trillions, of dollars (or Euros) will this deny to the long-poisoned, deceived public?
See www.ktc.com/~bdrake for a startling intro course (with many links) into the topic of deadly NON-tobacco parts of typical cigs. Greenpeace and the others need to be asked why they ignore this. It's public info, not secret stuff, generally. It only serves the interests of Big Dioxin/Chlorine (incl. Big oil, pharms, plastics, pesticides etc), and Big Rads to omit this. And it tolerates past, present and future mass public endangerment, and corruption of public "regulators"...the ones who let it all happen, after all.
