CM | 12.10.2002 17:35

Update about The Stop The War Critical Mass for Central London...

The Critical Mass called for the stop the war day of action (31oct) has progressed from a mere idea into a solid action.

Last week a meeting took place and solid plans have been made for the day, details will become "public" soon.

The action has aroused much interest and looks like it will be huge, loud and noisey.

So far it looks like there will be a 4 hour bike ride around the capital, with music and message ending in a central location to concicde with a larger action.

The Peace Camp at The Imperial War Museum

13.10.2002 17:16

The place where the critical mass will start at the Imperial War Museum still has a peace camp in its grounds and there is space for people to crash if they are coming from outside London for the days actions and need somewhere to crash. Also the peace camp still needs support as only a handful of people are keeping it going. Anyone who can come along to the camp to help out even if it is just for a few hours is needed. Large banners with anti-war slogans on them are also needed for the camp as well.

I hope it all goes well for you on the day. In Ireland, we just had a very successful direct action protest at Shannon Airport, opposing the war and the use of Shannon by the US military. Are people going to strike on the 31st? Are the majorety of people in Britian oppsed to the war?
