Twelve dead in Gaza raid

big bullshit conspiracy | 07.10.2002 09:15

more state terrorism reported by the official jewish (controlled) UK media also known as the BBC as just another incursion into not another country.

Twelve dead in Gaza raid

One of the victims of the raid is prepared for burial
Palestinian sources say 12 people have been killed and many more injured during a fresh Israeli incursion in the Gaza Strip.

A force of Israeli tanks and Apache helicopters entered the Palestinian city of Khan Younis and its adjacent refugee camp in the early hours ofMonday morning.

Palestinian hospital sources say a further eight people were injured when Israeli machine gun fire and a tank shell hit a hospital to which thedead and injured from the earlier
incursion were being taken.

Witnesses said the Israeli forces met strong resistance from Palestinian gunmen.

Eight of the Palestinians killed were said to have occurred when an Israeli helicopter fired a missile near a crowd
of Palestinians as they emerged from their shelters, having heard the Israeli tanks pulling out.

At least three civilians - a woman, a child and an elderly man - were reported to be among the dead.

It remained unclear why the Israelis launched the raid or what their target might have been, but on Sunday the army alleged militants had fired a missile into an empty house in a neighbouring Jewish settlement.

Senior Palestinian negotiator
Saeb Erekat called on the
international community to protect
the Palestinians and said the raid
was timed to disrupt the visit of
Javier Solana, the foreign policy
chief of the European Union, to
the region.

"Every time we witness efforts to
revive the peace process and put
it back on track, like those being
exerted now by Solana, the Israeli
Government moves to conduct
such war crimes and murder
innocent civilians because the
end game of the Israeli
government is to resume full
occupation of the Gaza Strip and
the West Bank," Mr Erekat said.

'Weapons workshops'

According to the governor or Khan Younis, explosions were heard in the industrial area of the city - indicating that Israeli forces may have been targeting metal workshops they say produce explosives.

The BBC's Barbara Plett in Gaza
says the city is one of the
bloodiest frontlines of resistance
in the conflict.

She says the city, home to
100,000 Palestinian refugees,
has been increasingly encircled by
Jewish settlements and Israeli
military bases.

It is a stronghold of the Islamist
Hamas movement, responsible for
some of the suicide attacks
against Israelis.

The fresh bloodshed came Javier
Solana prepared for talks with
Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat.

Pushing for peace

Mr Solana had spent Sunday with Israeli Defence Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer and Foreign Minister Shimon Peres.

He is in the region to push a peace plan drawn up by the quartet - the United Nations, the United States, Russia and the EU - aimed at
persuading Israeli troops to withdraw from the West Bank and the
Palestinians to reform their governing authority.

Israel is continuing to occupy a string of West Bank cities where it
imposes military curfews on Palestinian civilians, saying the tactic helps
prevent further attacks.

According to Israeli army radio, Mr Ben-Eliezer told Mr Solana to put
more pressure on Palestinians to stop militants from attacking civilians in their campaign to end Israeli occupation.

Mr Arafat's security adviser, who had met Mr Solana ahead of his talks with the Palestinian leader, said the Monday meeting would "look at the steps Israel has taken to destroy peace efforts and the ongoing attacks
against the Palestinian people".

Let's see now . . . the Serbs attacked a civilian hospital in Vukovar in 1991 and we subsequently put their president on trial for war crimes.

Does that mean we finally get to put Ariel Sharon and friends before a UN tribunal? Don't hold your breath!

AR, the documents Israel found in Ramallah in April, show how Arafat ordered homicide bombing massacres against Israeli woman and children in buses, shopping centers, disco's, pizzeria's, restaurants, cafe's, trains, school's, weddings, and Bar Mitvah's. Will there be a war crimes trial against Terrorfat. No, because the U.N Doesn't try Arab mass murderers.

The Israelis are building a communist style wall around Gaza to contain it's unarmed targets and make it easier for helicopter gunships to fire missiles at random, into innocent people. The pro-war BBC reported this horrendous incident, like it was no big deal. No call for restraint from Sharon, or compliance to UN resolutions, or warnings to Israel for destabilising the Middle East. No condemnation by priests, princes, politicians, prime ministers or presidents.

where are my comments?

08.10.2002 10:01

OK, will somebody take responsibility and indicate the why when and how my comments (from 7/10/02) have been removed?
Did I say something rude?
Does EVERYBODY disagree with me (when was the meeting?)
Is this censorship?
I still say I've had enough of nazies, be they zionazis or other fascist types.
I still say that there are those IN POWER IN iSRAEL that cannot and will not listen to reason or compromise.
What do we do wwith them?
Let them win?
Let them cary on until they go or die or give up?
Or fight them with every available weapon, pen or sword?
I'm sorry I'm not a pacifist, perhaps its a defect in me.
I STILL SAY NO JUSTICE NO PEACE.

OK I've calmed down now ...

08.10.2002 11:11

OK.
Having sat and thought about it for half an hour, i have come to the conclusion that;
a)there maybe good reasons for pulling a story/comment
b)IMC is NOT full of shit, nor is likely to be in the near future - I apologise
c)perhaps I am a hypocrite
My comments (as I remember them) may have been written in anger and frustration ... so ... but perhaps they were a bit OTT, perhaps not. It would be nice to know if that was the reason they were removed (permantly?)
On the other hand reaching for the highest ideals looks great, but it sure does allow unscrupulous nazies (any other kind?) to kick your feet away.
From my point of view, the situation in Palestine is beyound compromise - as stated, I do not believe the current power in israel has any intention, nor ever had any intention of negotiating in good faith.
Combined with their huge arsenal, it seems that either total resistence or total annilation awaits.
I side with total resistence
As for my hypocrisy, I believe a few weeks ago I called for the removal of (another long winded and ill thoughtout piece) a posting.
This was lazy and wrong of me. In future I will make the effort to refute the arguements or let it lie[sic].
Q...how does one access the forbidden ...
I'm sure the arguement for removal does not stretch to complete erasure, so where are my comments if I or any other wish to view them?
Do I need an admin password?
Perhaps a piece on editorial guidelines and instruction for full use of the IMC sites maybe needed (regularly)
Once again I apologise for my precipitous egomania and misdirected anger ...
No justice no peace
