Canada bans (British) lesbian book (erotic fiction)

Customs have banned the lesbian novel 'Cherry' written by the British author Charlotte Cooper. A shipment of the book was seized in Victoria. ‘The bookstore was informed that the book had been seized because it contained sexual scenes deemed obscene’ according to 365gay.

Never thought we would be going back

to the days before "Lady Chatterley". Was the liberation struggle of the 1960s a chimera ? No, but it proves that even the battles we thought were won forever must be continually refought. How sad.
