support the dock workers

US shippers lock out dockworkers on West Coast

The west coast dockworkers, who in 1999 shut down the ports
in solidarity with the Seattle WTO uprising, are now in need
of our solidarity and support. They have been locked out of
their jobs, and their ILWU union bureaucracy, despite their
"radical verbiage", is in the process of selling them out.
Workers are being used as pawns in the dictatorial "Homeland
Security" police state of fear, under the rubrik of patriotism and
the so-called wars on terrorism and Iraq.

All people who valued the "Teamsters & Turtles" coalition
which helped make Seattle a success, should now
wake up to directly support our sisters and brothers.

"In the best traditions of the 1934 San Francisco General Strike that
marked the birth of the ILWU, outreach committees are needed to contact
workers across North America for their active support against the
inevitable counterattacks of the employers and the Bush administration."
