Encouraging desertion

How would soldiers feel if they were putting their lives on the line for the sake of oil?
What if they knew that by fighting in Iraq, they would be risking their long-term health from exposure to vaccines and depleted uranium?
These are just two of the many points British soldiers should be made aware of before being sent to the Middle East to fight. By encouraging desertion, we could create chaos within military ranks.
A good way to approach soldiers would be to leave leaflets lying around in squaddy pubs in barracks towns. I'm pretty sure this would be illegal, but so is an attack on Iraq.
Any opinions?
